Hair only, not a layer of skin
Thread grips the hair. Wax grips whatever is on the surface, which is a problem on skin thinned by a retinoid, an acid, or a recent peel.
Most brows take about ten minutes. Pinkness settles within an hour or two. Come back every two to four weeks to keep the shape instead of rebuilding it.

What to expect
Map the shape
We look at your natural arch and agree on how much to take before the thread starts.
Thread in rows
A twisted cotton thread lifts hair from the follicle. Most brows take about ten minutes.
Soothe and check
We clean the area, apply a calming gel, and check the shape with you before you leave.
Afterwards
- Skip makeup, self-tanner, and heavy creams on the brow for 24 hours.
- Avoid saunas, steam, and hot yoga for the rest of the day.
- A little pink is normal and usually settles within an hour or two.
Threading questions
Does threading hurt?
There is a quick sting as each row lifts, and it stops the moment the pass is done. Most clients find it more tolerable than waxing, especially on the sensitive skin under the arch. If you are sensitive, book for the week after your period rather than the days right before it.
I use a retinoid. Can I still get my brows done?
This is exactly why we thread rather than wax. Retinoids, acids, and recent peels or laser treatments thin the surface layer of the skin, and wax can lift that layer along with the hair. Threading grips hair only. Tell your provider what you are using and when you last used it, and we will confirm the right approach at your appointment.
How long do results last?
Because hair is removed from the follicle, most clients go two to four weeks between appointments. Regrowth comes in softer and finer over time.
How much hair do I need to have grown out?
About two weeks of growth gives the thread enough to grab. If the hairs are very short, we can shape what is there and get you back on schedule at your next visit.
Do you only do eyebrows?
Eyebrow threading is the service we offer. If you are looking for hair removal elsewhere on the face or body, ask us about laser hair removal at your visit.
Can I get this with another treatment?
Yes, and it is the most common way clients book it. We shape brows before a facial so the area is clean going in. If you are having a peel or a laser treatment, we will thread first and space the two appropriately.
