They are not the same shot

People search Botox vs Xeomin vs Daxxify because the names get used as if they were interchangeable. At Skin Lab Med Spa in Falls Church they are three neuromodulators for expression lines, and the consult is where one of them is chosen. Forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet are the usual reasons someone sits down. None of these products fills a crease that is still there when your face is at rest. That is a different visit.

Botox is the name most patients already use for the whole category. It is one specific product. Xeomin is the related option people ask about when they have heard it is a cleaner formulation, without some of the accessory proteins found in other products. In the chair, the useful difference is often how you responded last time, not a ranking that can be printed on a card. If a previous visit looked too still, or wore off faster than you wanted, say so. That history changes the next plan more than a comparison chart does.

Daxxify is the product patients bring up when they want fewer visits in a year. Some people do go longer between appointments. Some do not. We will not tell you it is automatically the right first treatment, or that it replaces a maintenance habit. If there is a season when you do not want to be in the chair, that timing belongs in the consult, not in a guess from a national average.

What a comparison cannot tell you from home

How long any of them lasts varies by person, by the muscles treated, and by how much movement you want to keep. Botox and Xeomin are often discussed in a range of a few months. Daxxify is often discussed as lasting longer for some people. Those ranges set an expectation. They are not a date that can be promised before anyone has watched your face move.

A stronger frown, a very expressive forehead, and a faster metabolism are ordinary reasons a result fades sooner. A lighter treatment, chosen because you want to keep some expression, can fade sooner too. Crow's feet and the lines between the brows do not always return on the same day. Coming back when one area is moving again is a follow-up, not proof that the product was the wrong one.

Kick-in time is the other place people get surprised. Botox and Xeomin commonly show over the first several days, and the look is judged around two weeks. Daxxify can follow its own pace. Do not book a first treatment the afternoon before an event and expect the settled look that night. If a date matters, the date is part of the plan.

Switching products is a normal request

People switch from Botox to Xeomin or Daxxify, and the other way around. They switch because the last result was not the look they wanted, because they want to try a longer gap, or because what they had at another office is not what fits this visit. Bring the product name and about when you had it. Placing a new neuromodulator on top of one that has not worn off is how a forehead starts to look uneven.

None of these products is a filler. If a fold is present at rest because volume is down, a neuromodulator will not rebuild it. Using one where the other belongs is how a result starts to look odd. Some people want friends to be unable to tell they did anything. Both are reasonable. They are not the same treatment, and they are not an automatic product choice.
